Munising Public Schools

The Munising Public Schools lunch program will continue this summer with the following changes: Free breakfast/lunch will be available for pick up and will be delivered to the existing pick up locations only through Friday, June 19. There will be no breakfast/lunch delivery or pick up from the Middle/High School from June 22 through June 30. Effective Wednesday, July 1, free lunch pick up will be available again at the Middle/High School, and will continue on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week through Friday, August 21. There will be no delivery to the existing pick up locations after June 19.

Graduation information for members of the public planning on attending graduation this Saturday, June 13 at noon at Mustang Stadium has been posted on the Munising Public Schools Facebook page and Munising Public Schools website at www.munisingschools.com.

All Middle/High School art work is available for pickup between the hours of 8 and 3. The doors are open during these hours, please wear a mask when entering the building. Please return your chrome books and any school or library books before June 17th.

Today's Google Meet postponed due to the power outage has been rescheduled for 10:00am on Thursday, not noon as originally planned.

Final instructional packets will be available again today, Tuesday, June 2nd, for pick up until 3:00pm at each school and for delivery along our bus routes. For Mather Elementary, there are instructional packets for Kindergarten and 2nd grade this week. Also, locker items and art pieces may still be picked up at Mather. Middle/High School students may or may not have an instructional packet, so those students should be checking their school email for contact from their teachers. Any instructional packets being returned to the Middle/High School may be given to the school van driver or left in a box or tote near your door. After today, instructional packets with completed materials will need to be delivered to the school by parents or students.

Munising High School students entering grades 9 through 12 in the fall should check their school email to complete a Google Form to register for classes for the 2020-2021 school year. Go Mustangs!

For Mather Elementary, there are instructional packets for 1st grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and READ 180 students this week. Also, locker items and art pieces may still be picked up at Mather. Middle/High School students may or may not have an instructional packet on a weekly basis, so those students should be checking their school email for contact from their teachers. Due to the Memorial Day Holiday on Monday, May 25th, there will be no breakfast/lunch delivery or pick up. Meals will resume on Wednesday, May 27th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Effective Monday, May 18th, Munising Public Schools is adjusting delivery times to our breakfast/lunch pick up locations. We will now have two vans transporting food. Adjusted times can be found on the Munising Public Schools website at www.munisingschools.com and on the Munising Public Schools Facebook page.

Students' locker items and artwork may be picked up at Mather Elementary from 11:00am to 1:00pm beginning Monday, May 18th. Use the intercom at the Elm Street entrance and the items will be brought out to you.

Welcome Munising Public Schools Graduating Class of 2033! Even though Kindergarten Registration for the Munising Public Schools 2020-21 school year has been postponed, if you have a child that is 5 years old on or before September 01, 2020, please call 387-2102, extension 1132. We will add your child’s name to the roster for registration. Please note, if your child is currently 4 years old, but their birthday falls between September 1, 2020 and December 1, 2020 you may request an age waiver to enroll them in kindergarten. A registration date will be set when we have additional guidance from the Governor's Office.

A letter is being mailed today to all Munising Public School district families that provides details of our Continuity of Learning Plan. Breakfast and Lunch Delivery Changes to Monday, Wednesday & Friday Only As many of you are aware, Munising Public Schools recently explored the possibility of expanding our breakfast/lunch deliveries out to our bus routes. After considering the potential for an increase in health risk to our employees, however, we have decided to maintain deliveries to our existing pick up locations, with the exception that we will now do a delivery for pick up at Windjammer Apartments instead of Hilltop Road. We are also now changing to Monday, Wednesday and Friday pick up only, with two breakfasts and lunches being available each day.
