3rd Grade Sledding Fun!
Last week, Ms. Hetherington’s and Mrs. LaFlamme’s 3rd graders had an amazing time enjoying the winter weather on their sledding outing! Laughter, teamwork, and plenty of snowy adventures made for a memorable day.

Second Grade Snowshoeing Adventure!
Yesterday, Mrs. Johnson’s and Mr. Johnson’s second graders took to the trails for a snowshoeing adventure! With snow beneath their feet and excitement in the air, our students embraced the winter weather while getting some great exercise and hands-on learning about the outdoors.
Snowshoeing is an awesome way to build endurance, balance, and an appreciation for nature—and these kiddos made the most of it! A big thank you to Mrs. Johnson and Mr. Johnson for leading the way on this fun-filled winter exploration.
First Grade Fun on the Slopes!
Our first graders had an absolute blast sledding with Mrs. Murk! Students enjoyed the fresh winter weather and some well-earned outdoor fun. Sledding is not just a great way to burn off energy—it also builds confidence, teamwork, and a love for the great outdoors!
A huge thank you to Mrs. Murk for making this such a special experience for our students. Check out these smiling faces and rosy cheeks!

📚 Celebrate March Reading Month with Us at Mather! 📚
Mather Elementary is excited to celebrate March Reading Month, and we invite community members to join us in fostering a love for reading among our students! Research shows that positive reading experiences and exposure to diverse readers help students develop strong literacy skills, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
We are looking for guest readers to visit classrooms throughout the month of March to share their favorite books and inspire our young readers. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, local leader, or business owner, your time and enthusiasm can make a lasting impact on our students!
📖 How You Can Participate:
✔ Choose a day and time that works for you
✔ Bring your favorite book or we can provide one
✔ Read aloud to a class and spark excitement for reading!
